Originally introduced in 2011 as OEM equipment for the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale, the Brembo M50 is one step up from the M4 calipers. With the M50 you’re getting a pair of cast aluminium monoblock calipers designed for track day riders and high-performance street superbikes. The Brembo engineers have focussed on keeping the weight down to keep the unsprung weight to a minimum. By using highly efficient, smaller pistons and shaving away as much material as possible without compromising rigidity, the M50 calipers are 15% lighter than their M4 counter part.Please note: The Brembo M4 calipers were designed to work best together with a Brembo 17 RCS brake master cylinder. These brake calipers come in one size: 100 mm. As a rule of thumb, 100 mm should fit all European brand bikes with radial calipers where as most Japanese brand bikes need 108 mm calipers.
